Our Partnership With
Reforest Nation
“Restoring Ireland’s rich woodland heritage, one real tree at a time.”
1 Tree Ordered = 1 Native Irish Tree Planted
At firtree.ie, our love for real Christmas trees goes hand-in-hand with our deep commitment to the Irish landscape. To balance our seasonal harvest and actively contribute to local biodiversity, we have joined forces with Reforest Nation. Moving forward, for every single tree ordered from our store, we fund the planting of one native Irish tree back into local soil.
Accountability & Verification
Your Impact, Transparently Tracked
We believe that corporate and residential environmental efforts should be fully accountable. When you purchase a tree from firtree.ie, your impact is completely legitimized and monitored. Here is exactly what is included with your plantation tracking package:
Native Trees Planted in Ireland: Grown in permanent, long-term, eco-optimized forests your team can be proud of.
Personalisable Digital Certificate Template: Complete with exclusive artwork and a branded occasion card.
Seasonal Photo & Video Updates: Showing your trees’ growth over time, not gathering dust on a shelf.
Invitations to Forest Visits & Planting Days: So your family or team can experience the impact firsthand.
Why Reforest Nation?
Reforest Nation is on a critical mission to restore ecosystem health across Ireland by planting millions of native trees to capture carbon, rebuild degraded soil profiles, and reverse the devastating loss of biodiversity. Ireland is historically one of the least forested countries in Europe, and this partnership allows our community to make a direct, tangible impact.
Pure Native Species
We strictly support the planting of certified native species—including Sessile Oak, Downy Birch, Rowan, Hazel, and Scots Pine—ensuring the right tree is planted in the right location to foster real wildlife habitats.
Biodiversity Ecosystems
Unlike commercial monoculture timber plantations, these trees are planted as permanent, unharvested community woodlands engineered to build lasting homes for local wildlife, pollinators, and mammals.
Supporting Carbon Removal
By drawing CO2 directly out of the atmosphere over their natural lifespans, every native sapling funded by your festive purchase helps directly counteract carbon footprints locally in Ireland.
