17 Sep The New Krinner X-Series: Why Ireland’s Best Christmas Tree Stand Just Got Better
Nothing dampens the festive spirit faster than an unstable, crooked Christmas tree—or the dread of spending an hour on your knees wrestling with frustrating, rusty thumb screws. For years, German-engineered Krinner Christmas tree stands have been the gold standard for stress-free holiday setups. But this festive season, there is a major engineering shakeup that Irish homeowners need to know about before buying their next base.
Fir Tree is proud to be the exclusive supplier of the brand-new, officially redesigned Krinner X-Series tree stands in Ireland. While other retailers and local garden centres across the country are clearing out leftover warehouse stock of the outdated, discontinued older versions, we have imported the absolute latest models straight from Germany to ensure a flawless holiday setup that takes literally seconds.
Our distribution network covers the entire country loop from start to finish. Whether you are ordering a standalone premium base or pairing it with one of our hand-picked, fresh Irish-grown Nordmann Firs, we coordinate fast, secure nationwide shipping right to your doorstep anywhere in Ireland, or deliver it seamlessly alongside your luxury tree reservation.
What Makes the New Krinner Design Different?
If you are browsing online marketplaces or visiting local stores in Dublin, Meath, Kildare, or anywhere else in Ireland, you are likely looking at the older Krinner inventory. While those stands were excellent in their day, the newly updated models feature critical engineering upgrades that completely eliminate old pain points:
1. Redesigned Comfort Foot Pedal: On older Krinner models, the foot pedal required consistent, careful alignment and significant downward pressure to lock the internal claws. The upgraded version features a completely redesigned, wider, non-slip foot pedal mechanism. It offers much smoother mechanical leverage, meaning you can lock a massive tree upright with a fraction of the physical effort.
2. Upgraded “Single Rope” Tension Distribution: Krinner’s patented Single Rope Technology has always been their secret weapon—ensuring that consecutive claws grip any trunk shape evenly. In the latest generation, the internal cable tensioners have been reinforced with premium, heavy-duty alloy components. This prevents the internal cable slack or sticking that sometimes plagued older, heavily used models.
3. Louder Bell Safety Signal: The iconic “ping” is back and clearer than ever. Once the claws have gripped your tree trunk with perfect, structurally sound pressure, the patented safety bell rings automatically. On the new models, this internal click-and-chime mechanism has been fine-tuned to be unmistakable, giving you total peace of mind that your tree is locked bolt-upright.
